Objective of the project is to incorporate the depletion and degradation of Land and Water resources in Tamilnadu in to the existing system of national accounts. The project tries to
- Develop physical accounts for land and water
- Develop monetary accounts wherever possible
- Estimate the cost of degradation of water and land resources to the economy and
- Account for the interaction between the economy and the environment in the conventional accounts.
