Terms of Reference 
  • To identify priority areas for research support, 
  • To determine types of research support e.g. research projects by faculty members, Ph.D. fellowships, short visits to leading institutions in India or abroad, 
  • To prescribe guidelines for research support, 
  • To evolve procedures for evaluation of research proposals and monitoring progress, 
  • To recommend norms for publication of reports/books, and 
  • To award research grants.
