Nine of the projects funded under this theme cover a wide canvass. They deal with economic assessment of environmental damage, cost benefit analysis of clean production technologies, sustainable regional comparative advantage estimated by including environmental costs, environmental assessment of oil & gas exploration, potential for efficient use of energy in small scale industries and its environmental implications, and market based instruments for regional environmental management and economic. Wide ranging coverage of different industries ranged from heavy industries such as steel to small scale industries like brick making.
